Besides work­ing on the new theme, I’ve been adding more to my back cat­a­log lately. A lot of old posts from Din­hter­net v1.0 (not the old theme, but the old site on the old host) and from Retarded Azn Bish are being phased into the cur­rent site. Keep an eye on that paged nav­i­ga­tion at the bot­tom… you’ll see the num­ber of pages grow every now and then even though I haven’t posted any new stuff on the front page.

It’s always inter­est­ing to go back and see where I was, both in terms of writ­ing abil­ity and also just in gen­eral men­tal state and world view, in the old posts.

Well, Din­hter­net has offi­cially been up for a solid week. What do you guys think of it so far?

I’d like to point out a cou­ple of fea­tures that have been added…

• “Since Last Visit” — this will tell you what exactly you’ve missed since the last time you came to Din­hter­net. There’s the counter at the top of the left nav bar for a quick glance, and the “New” tags next to every item that is actu­ally new to you.
• “Related Posts” — if you like the post you’re read­ing, this item in the nav bar will sug­gest other posts to you on sim­i­lar topics.
• “Paged Nav­i­ga­tion” — now, instead of just “Pre­vi­ous Entries” links on the bot­tom of pages, there is a page sys­tem that lets you know exactly how far back it goes, and lets you skip around the posts more easily.

Are there any other fea­tures you think would help the Din­hter­net? Let me know! (If no one says any­thing on this front, I prob­a­bly won’t be adding any­thing, as I’ve done pretty much every­thing I can think of already.)

Oh, and now that I’m fin­ished bring­ing back my Face­book and Xanga posts, I will start import­ing my old Retarded Azn Bish and Din­hter­net v1.0 posts and com­ments. But since there’s so many of those, it’s going to take a while.

So to keep up this streak, I guess I should put up a post for today.

So… let’s see…

Woke up on my own. Went online. Talked to Kitty and Kris­ten. They are both Chi­nese girls from Frisco that are cur­rently in Hong Kong for study abroad pro­grams. I sent them each other’s infor­ma­tion. Got a ran­dom e-mail from Jenn N, and she hooked me up with my files and data­bases from Retarded Azn Bish, which has had been down for a while. Spent the day work­ing on putting the old posts up on this site.

Joe M woke up, and we had chicken nuggets for lunch. Peggy came home and she ate some­thing, too. Then I wrote some more and simul­ta­ne­ously tried to take care of some ser­vice stuff. Drew came home and we worked on ser­vice fair fliers. Then more copy­ing old posts over as I waited for every­one to get ready to go to Santa Cruz.

We finally took off, but stopped in Dixon for gas and McDonald’s. Drew and Peggy had Fillets-O-Fish, but I went with good ol’ Big Macs. Then there was some more dri­ving. Today’s quote was dur­ing the driving.

Keep in mind Drew was talk­ing on the phone with Vince the whole time about X-Men: Leg­ends 2 and had no idea what Peggy and I were saying.

We finally got to Santa Cruz, and rolled into down­town to meet up with Aaron L, who was chill­ing with his friends at a book­store. They left to the local bar after that, but Aaron L left them for us. Ah, how sweet of him! Any­way, we went back to his place, and played video games.

Now I’m on his com­puter, and about to go to sleep. Good night, America!
