Getting Lost In SF

So Thu H and I headed back to 580 California for our 2:40 appointment for induction at the Jejune Institute. Like I said before, it was a busy day for them. In fact, Saturday was supposedly the last day the induction would be held, so there were six other people waiting in the reception area for us to come back — they wanted to join us in the induction! (We let them join us for the introduction and agreed we would split up for the hunt portion.)

Be warned, the rest of this post details our adventure, complete with photos. I don’t think I’m spoiling anything at this point since Act 1 has closed, but just in case you want to unofficially run the game, like some people are doing now.

Zombification

I got a new free app on my Android phone called Zombie Booth. (The official site seems to be down, and it looks like it was originally released for iPhone.)

It zombifies pictures taken with your phone. Here’s an example:

The app is pretty cool. Mapping zombie parts to your face is excellent. You can even see it in faux 3D motion in the app. I don’t like how the source picture is blurred, the contrast in sharpness between original and zombie parts is a bit distracting. The controls are fun — you can make the zombie head move with finger swipes and attack with taps. The customization is limited, though — shaking the phone gives you random new zombie features, but you can’t pick and choose what you want.

Overall, a fun app to play with, especially if you like to make “interesting” avatars for yourself like I do. And you can’t argue with free.

Rabbit Or Duck?

What’s better than Wolverine?

How about two Batmen?!

This post is for Thu H, who requested more funny Batman pictures.
