Tell Me I'm Wrong

I’m bored and broke. What to do? Hmm… sounds like posting time! :)

Woke up at 5:30 on Saturday because Kinko’s opens at 6, and I was going to get ready for my day and then go over there to print out my project. Peggy S wasn’t done with hers, though, despite the fact that she had stayed up until 5 AM working on it and passed out unwillingly. She was supposed to take Ian R to the airport, too, but I made her take a nap before Thuong T’s graduation, and took him myself, instead.

Got back and made sure everyone in my car was going to be ready, then Diana Pai came over, and we picked up Amber W and Peggy S and headed to campus. The ceremony was… eh. Speakers could have been better. But we can’t all get Wear Sunscreen. Thanks again to Kitty K for the ticket! Congrats to Jeremy J, Linh N, Keegan K, Thuong T, Jenny L, Bao N, Alice W… I’m sure I’m forgetting a bunch of folks. It was the first graduation I had actually gone to this year, and it made me sad to see so many friends leaving. Especially folks I knew from high school and the dorms. Oh well. Next year. Or maybe the year after…

After the obligatory picture taking for days outside, went to Thuong T’s graduation lunch at Davis Noodle City. We seriously took over the place… I think APhiO had every seat in the house. The food, though… I think I could have made it better myself. And that’s saying a lot. But hey, I tried a new place in town, and now I know. After that, headed over to Chaparral for Alice W’s BBQ. I was pretty full, so only had a slice of cheesecake. And then a slice of the raspberry chocolate mousse cake that Jen L, TJ Y, and Aywon N got for Thuong T. Played ball in the street with Mike O for a bit, but it was windy. And I hit a car. (The balls are foam, so nothing happened, though.)

Was kinda sleepy, so I went home and took a nap. Talked online for days after that. Wrote a couple of posts in between distracting Peggy S from finishing her project. She mocked my non-existant love life that I mentioned in my bitter post. And made random racist comments -

My back hurts. I wasn’t sitting right, I guess. :(

- Peggy S.

Aw… you need a back brace or something.”

- Me.

Ew, no! That’s what my dad uses. And the Mexicans that work at Home Depot.”

- Peggy S.

Why you gotta be racist? Everyone who works at Home Depot has a weight belt.”

- Me.

And the Mexicans have it more!”

- Peggy S.

I still don’t get what she means by that. That girl… :shakes head:

Anyways, passed out around 3:30.

Underwhelmed

I hadn’t listened to this song in ages. And suddenly I hear it, and it hits me it perfectly describes my break. :) In other news, someone :cough: told me I complain too much yesterday. And I looked back and realized I have been pretty… teen angsty… lately. Sorry about that, guys; I’ll try to keep it under control in the future.

So… how was my day yesterday? Woke up extra early… 7:45. It’s getting kinda painful. And I expect to be up early and bored, which is sad. Chatted online and Xanga’ed it up, of course. Was bored, so I tried to start a rumor about Jackie and Donald. I hope no one takes it too seriously… it was just a joke because of what Jackie told me about her mini-line field trip. Visited random sites for a while. I was going to write them up here, but there’s so many. It seems worthy of a separate post.

Will went to Son’s place and grabbed a bunch of animé DVDs from him for us to enjoy. Started out watching Midori no Hibi. Good lord, another completely random animé. I wonder what kinda crack they gotta be smoking when they think up this stuff. For those of you who don’t know, this show is about a guy who wakes up one day to find that his right hand has become a miniature girl. (Her waist is his wrist.)

I could only watch so much of that before I felt I would go crazy, so back on the computer. Drew and Peggy were mocking my alleged Xanga whoreness again. I just gave up. Peggy was so happy, she made it her away message. :o ops: Is it really that bad, guys? They commented for days, and I just read. It felt… odd. Grabbed the Samurai 7 DVD and started watching it on my computer as I chatted. That show is great. I really had my doubts about a futuristic Seven Samurai rip with human heros fighting Gundams, but eh… it works. And how! I think Kyuzo has never looked more bad-ass. Oh, I think I invoked Drew’s fury of a thousand suns on Hasbro for not making plushies of the Pokemon he wanted. :)

Got invited to a kick-back at Genie’s, so I decided I should do them a favor and shower before I go. And no, Mommy Van… I was NOT actually so dirty I was constantly scratching myself. After the shower, my hunger hit me like a sack of bricks to the groin, so I asked around to see if anyone wanted to go eat with me. No one replied, though, except for Mommy Van, who was already eating. She invited me over to share her home-cooked food, though. Mmm… com tam! It was so good. Thanks, Mommy! :) Too bad she questioned my manhood while I was eating. Maybe I shouldn’t have told everyone about the frog purse.

Back home and my sister reminded me I had to make a website for my uncle to try to sell his house. It sucked. I’ve been procrastinating on it all week, because I just haven’t felt like coding lately. That’s why I got out of CSE; I don’t like coding on cue… I kinda need… inspiration. Well, that and failing the insanely hard classes. So I worked on that for a bit. While chatting with people again. :) Oh… at least twenty people asked if I was drinking tonight. I told them to read my blog, and explained about how Joe, Peggy, and I are waiting until we’re all back in town, and we’ll drink our first alcohol together. Which leads to yesterday’s quote -

Aw, how sweet. You’re like the Three Musketeers!”- Donald.

By the way, he was chatting with me from a laptop in his TAPS truck because he didn’t feel like actually working. I could make a dirty joke about that, but instead, I’ll just refer you to a certain scene in Super Troopers involving a radar gun. Finished about half of the page by 11, and headed over to Genie’s.

That was a lot of fun. Everyone was already faded by the time I got there. First I played some Connect Four with Alice W and Mommy Van. Alice kept beating me by luck of the turn in the endgame, despite being drunk. I got her back in the end, though. After that, we played Truth or Dare Jenga. I had to pretend I was Batman, and run around the room with a bomb while singing the theme song. And monkey dance on cue. And lick whipped cream off Mommy Van’s face. And pretend I was a firefighter stripper for Alice W. And some more stuff I don’t want to talk about. I wasn’t even the worst off; poor Eddy…

Went home a little after that when everyone got tired of watching me embarrass myself. Worked on the website for what seemed like ages. Again, while talking to people. Mostly Peggy. She kept trying to distract me with pictures of her “very very pretty” friend. Finally finished and tried to celebrate by watching the rest of Samurai 7. There was just too much for me, though. And chatting at the same time makes me lose track of the subtitles. So I decided to call it a night.

Blood Brothers

So during Clint’s interview of Alice Wong, I found out that he’s also a member of the gallon club! AND he’s blood type O+, just like me! What are the odds?! (We wondered it at the time, but I didn’t know. Turns out, the odds of us both being O+ is about 14.4%. According to the 38% O+ population listed on Wikipedia, anyway.) Oh, and sorry to Mommy Van and Alice for not knowing on the spot what the odds were. I actually wanted to guesstimate around 40%, but I wasn’t sure of myself. I guess you can never trust me again to deliver any random trivia answer on demand. But I’ll always have 2.85 kg. :)

Now I gotta go dig up my gallon club keychain doo-dad and sport it with pride like my LB does!
