Time for another Hacker’s Diet update.

Hacker's Diet Week 12
Weekly loss: 1.9 lbs. — Daily deficit: 970 calo­ries.
You will reach your goal of 155 lbs on 2009-​05-​15. (231 days early!)

So far, I’ve lost 29.8 lbs of mea­sured weight (2.5 lbs in the last week) and 26.6 lbs of “real weight” (2.1 lbs in the last week). When I was doing the fam­ily chal­lenge, I had still only lost 16 lbs at this point.

I still had some prob­lems with por­tion con­trol, but doing bet­ter than last week. More willpower still needed, though. I’m also going to try this diet plan. I’ve done some of it already by cut­ting out fatty meats and not drink­ing calo­ries (except my pro­tein shake, but that counts as a meal for me). Luck­ily, I don’t get sick of foods eas­ily, so the lack of vari­ety shouldn’t be much of a prob­lem for me. Hope­fully I can get back on track to hit my goal before my birthday.

The 100 Push-​ups and 200 Sit-​ups Pro­grams are still going strong, and I think I’ve got­ten some other peo­ple to try them. (I’ve heard of Will N, Vince T, and Joe M check­ing them out.) If you are doing the pro­grams, drop me a com­ment and let me know how it’s going!

    A friend of mine is sug­gest­ing I use Fla­vor Magic Por­tion Con­trol Sheets, which she describes as basi­cally a por­tion­ing guide that also sea­sons the food. Kind of like the “palm of hand” rule, but more accu­rate. Does any­one have input on this one? She claims it is work­ing for her with home cook­ing. I want to give it a shot but it looks like it is only avail­able online.
