I got tagged by a couple of friends on Facebook with the“25 Things” chain letter (From Wondermark.com), so here are 25 things you should already know about me from reading this blog. I’ll try to throw in a new random factoid with each point, too.
- I am generally not superstitious.. Actually, I’ve been trying to rid myself of irrational fears and usually break chain letters as a matter of principle. (I’m selling out this time because I think it would make an interesting post to recall some “Greatest Hits.”)
- My greatest fear is to lose control. My greatest wish is to control the world. Or at least in some way change it for the better.
- I’ve been told I will become President. I hope that APhiO Presidency experience transfers.
- I love my BB and my LBs. I wish I hung out with them more.
- APhiO was the best and worst thing to happen to me at Davis. I got so much out of it, but it did make me overstay my welcome with the university.
- Davis has tried to get rid of me several times. They even tried to kill me.
- I also almost died when I crashed while mountain biking hard enough to crack my helmet in two. Brian G got into an accident the same day and had to go to the hospital.
- I’ve fallen out of a moving car while sleeping against the car door. Luckily I only scraped my chin.
- I’ve fallen asleep at the wheel and crashed a car. As soon as I get a job with health benefits, I’m getting tested for narcolepsy.
- My favorite car is the RX-7. The Wankel has its flaws, but it’s a beautiful feat of engineering.
- I’m not as much of a techie as I used to be, but people still ask me for computer help like I was.
- Speaking of nerdiness, I have a hard time making eye contact.
- I also have a hard time making small talk.
- I’m a horrible liar. I can never keep a straight face. Except that one time.
- I am easily distracted. I’m surprised my aunt and uncle had kids after that experience.
- I was born in Texas. Maybe that’s why I talk slow and have a larger personal space.
- I did not know any English on my first day of school, so I couldn’t use the bathroom. But I was probably more fluent in Vietnamese than I am now.
- I’ve had a stranger’s shit on me before. Apparently I missed a hell of a fight that happened while I was taking care of business.
- I’ve had a bird shit on me. Indoors. I aced that test, by the way.
- I used to give blood regularly. Stopped when BloodSource moved and I was carless for a while, but I should start again.
- Bloodsource has told me that I had CJD and syphilis. Not at the same time.
- Despite being a strong supporter of the Ladder Theory, I consistently try to jump ladders.
- I’ve only successfully jumped ladders once. And it came at great cost.
- Batman is my all-time favorite superhero. I want to become him someday. At least for Halloween.
- I’ve been blogging on-and-off for almost a decade now. I remember back when I was on Geocities, and edited the page manually every time with a text-editor. There was no saved record at all. What a waste.
Well, I hope you enjoyed this list. I had fun making it. I’m sad about the holes in my records that it revealed, though. I can remember posts I wanted to link to but couldn’t find anymore. I wish I had better luck migrating all my old posts from the previous sites to this one. Some of the factoids are for missing posts, so I’m going to write them in the future and link back here. I am going to break the chain in that I’m not tagging anyone to continue it.
Batman, Brian G, Computer, Dinhternet, Facebook, Friends, Games, Health, Law, Viet
Geocities?? Really? Wow!
Man, you’ve had a lot of unfortunate things happen to you.
You definitely should be Batman for Halloween.
What are your Friday plans?
I might do it depending on on how the diet/workout plan is going. Fatman costume just isn’t cool unless you’re really using a pillow.
And yes, I’ve been online and documenting my misfortunes since the dinosaurs.
Meh, you look fine!! Well it’s good to be healthy and all but don’t lose TOO much weight!!
I’m just going to a healthy BMI.
I just bought My Weight Loss Coach haha. I’m going for being more fit and healthy too. I’ll post on my blog later.
I look forward to it!
