Time for another update.
Keep going! 25.4 lbs to go!
Weekly loss: 2.5 lbs. — Daily deficit: 1269 calories.
You will reach your goal of 155 lbs on 2009-05-01. (245 days early!)
As you can see, I’m missing today’s entry. There’s no scale at Jeremy J’s place and I don’t know if I will get to one today. (I used the one at Andrew P’s place for yesterday’s measurement.) I didn’t do anything extraordinary yesterday, though, so there shouldn’t be much of a problem.
So far, I’ve lost 18.8 lbs of measured weight (1.6 lbs in the last week) and 14.7 lbs of “real weight” (2.2 lbs in the last week). When I was doing the family challenge, I had lost 12 lbs at this point, and was at the beginning of a backslide.
I had a spike in my measurements over the weekend once again this week. I think it’s because my family is home and eating every meal, so it’s harder for me to skip meals. Do you know how hard it is to ignore your stomach when you wake up to the smell of bacon? Besides he actual food temptations, though, meals are a time when my family gets together and talks, so I don’t want to miss out on that. I just need to be prepared with a big glass of water to help control my baser instincts.
Despite that, though, progress is decent. Aaron L mentioned it to me at karaōke, and I was a bit surprised since I haven’t really seen a difference in myself yet. I mean, I see the numbers going down, but when I look at myself in a mirror, I don’t really see a change. I am still going strong and should have no problem hitting my goal of being under 175 by the end of the month.

Dang, under 175 by the end of the month? I’ve plateaued and won’t go down anymore until I start increasing my exercise or start cutting back on the fatty food choices. Regardless of how you see yourself in the mirror now, you should be happy with the numbers. Numbers don’t lie. I’m happy for you man. I hope you work exercise in to your regimen as well. Pick up a pair of good running shoes from Big 5 and hit the road — it’s a wonderful feeling. Once I start feeling better I’ll be glad to go with you when you are here in SJ tutoring if you are able to go when the sun is still out or when it starts getting warmer. If you haven’t been running, I’ll get you to at least a 5k in 4 weeks or less. I guarantee it as long as you guarantee it as well.
what’s this hacker diet thing? and yeah i could tell you lost weight when i saw you yesterday.
Thanks for the feedback, guys.
Yeah, I definitely need to increase my caloric output, Tony.
And Thu, the Hacker’s Diet is the diet plan I’m using to help me reach my weight loss resolution this year. Here’s the first post about it: http://www.dinhternet.com/2009/01/01/hackers-diet/
