Hacker Diet Update - Week 6

Time for another update.

Hacker's Diet Week 6
Weekly loss: 2.1 lbs. — Daily deficit: 1055 calo­ries.
You will reach your goal of 155 lbs on 2009-​05-​16. (230 days early!)

So far, I’ve lost 17.2 lbs of mea­sured weight (3.8 lb in the last week) and 12.5 lbs of “real weight” (2.5 lbs in the last week). When I was doing the fam­ily chal­lenge, I had lost 13 lbs at this point, so I’m doing much better.

I started off pretty stag­nant this week, but things really picked up towards the end. I’m not sure what the cause is. My exer­cise has been con­sis­tent, except for the night I crashed at Betty N’s, because I was too self-​conscious to work out in her stu­dio in the morn­ing while she was still sleep­ing. I did start drink­ing a pro­tein shake for break­fast after my morn­ing rou­tine, so that might have some­thing to do with it. Or maybe it’s just a stress­ful week for me as I drive back and forth between Sac and the Bay almost every night?

What­ever the cause, I hope it con­tin­ues, and my goal is to be under 175, which is where I was at the end of my fam­ily chal­lenge, by the end of the month.
