Actually, perhaps “Act of Godzilla” is more appropriate. Merry C got me on the inside track for a job at a law office in Natomas, so a huge thanks to you, Merry C! I went in for the interview today, and Kathi seemed really cool, and offered me the job on the spot. I start Monday.
Told my parents when they got home from work today, and they were really excited for me, too. They said it was the fastest turnaround on a New Year’s wish they had ever seen, and that I had better go back to temple and make a nice offering.
Unfortunately, it’s only a part-time job as a typist, and it only pays $10/hr. That means that the job bounty is still in effect, if you are still interested in helping me.

Aaron — I doubt it… the interviewer was telling me about how everyone is leaving worker’s comp law because it’s not as lucrative as it used to be.
Wow, I got totally gypped two jobs ago then. Well… I knew I was. I was a paralegal and was only getting $10/hr!!!!!!!!!!!! Which partially explained why I left because he said he was going to give me a raise from the “training wage” for three months and that sweet paycheck never came.
Wow, $10/hr is pretty damn low if you have your certificate.
Yeah, I was 200% underpaid. And then my next boss paid awesome but he turned out to be a jerkipoo :/
So how’s the job hunt now? Find a place with decent pay and a nice boss yet? And if so, think you could hook it up?
