Brisco County

I keep seeing things I want and telling myself that I will get them after I get a job. Really, though, I need to get rid of the stuff I have. Moving home from Davis was a pain, and living out of boxes for months before moving to this small house has made it abundantly clear how much I could do without. Time to Craigslist it up.

Oh, and on the job front, things still aren’t looking too good. So I’m going to use the idea I read here and offer a job bounty. If you can hook me up with a job, I’ll give you $100 from my first paycheck. Here’s what I’m looking for:

  • Preferably a law job to gain experience, but I’ll do anything except cold-calling.
  • Must be a full-time position.
  • Preferably a job in the Bay, but I can work in Sac or relocate elsewhere, too.
  • $10/hr if in Sac, else $12/hr so I can afford rent, food, AND gas.

And that’s about it. I’m getting so desperate that I’m considering the armed forces. Haven’t talked to a recruiter yet, but I’ve checked out some websites. It looks like I’ll need to slim down and shape up a little before I can even qualify, though.

Oh, I’ll be spreading this around so please don’t get annoyed if you get this in an e-mail or something.

  1. I think we’re hiring soon — you’d be overqualified (which would be good if you stuck around) and it’s not law related but you’ll be making double what you asked for.

  2. Oh, sweet! Let me know if the job comes up!

  3. Oh yeah, applying for that now. Forgot to last time you sent because it went to my phone.
