Plainly Presidential

I saw an interesting article today in GOOD magazine’s blog. It’s actually a little old (from last November), but very interesting. The chart highlights the first 100 days in office of every President back to FDR. That’s supposed to be the “honeymoon period” where Congress and the press basically give the President pretty much whatever he wants.

In President Bush’s first hundred days, he made the world kill more babies, made the US armed forces more hostile, and defended his position on making the world more polluted.

And in his final days, President Bush (or at least his staff) spitefully refused the Obama family residence at the Blair House. Classy to the end! Well, at least he kept one campaign promise — “You may not agree with me, but you know where I stand.”
