Christmas Spirits

A while back, Nick made a baked brie for one of our family gatherings, and it was a big hit. He made one again last summer, and my sisters and I took notes. Today, we experimented with a couple variations on his recipe, and they worked out pretty well. When Co Kim, a family friend, and her kids came over, she complimented us on our cooking, and I said this was just the testing grounds for real holiday celebrations, which in my family always means food for days. Literally. My sisters are excited to bring them to Minnesota and see if they get approval from the head chef. :)

But anyway, if food isn’t what gets you in the spirit of the season, perhaps actual spirits will help. The drink recipes are either renamed or slightly modified versions of shooter staples, but they definitely wouldn’t be the first things to get a Christmas whitewash. My only complaint is the drinks aren’t a closer match to the traditional gifts of the twelve days of Christmas. I want to see someone attempt to take 364 shots. Or is it 78? I was never completely clear on how the song worked. But either way… you’ll have a good time.
