Turkey Day
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
My sisters and I have established a tradition of cooking Thanksgiving dinner for our family. We split up the task and each take a couple of dishes. At first, we just replicated our family’s regular Thanksgiving menu. Last year, we each tried a couple of changes. This year, though, we’ve gone all out. A new menu with all dishes planned around a central theme – apples – and we have new sides, decorations, and even wine pairings!
Oh, and I wanted to thank Aaron L for his helpful list of furkey reviews! I tried the Quorn one at Michow and Chris’s Thanksgiving party last Saturday, and I have the Tofurkey “feast” for tonight. However, we found a turkey that meets my standards, so I’ll be eating a little real meat tonight. First time in eight months!
