City Life

Call­ing Davis a “city” is quite a stretch of the imag­i­na­tion, but the “city life” is still a lot bet­ter than Elk Grove’s. Since mov­ing back here, most of my efforts to enter­tain myself involve dri­ving to Davis to hang out with peo­ple. But even Davis isn’t the same as it used to be; at least, that’s the con­sen­sus of all the peo­ple I know in Davis above a cer­tain age. Peo­ple are all mov­ing on to other things.

Why am I hav­ing so much trou­ble mov­ing on, too?
