Wanted
Saw this trailer for it on TV over the weekend. Looks interesting. I read Vince’s copy of the comic, and it was awesome. I hope they can keep all the DC references, but I doubt it… the full story didn’t seem like it would fit well into a two-hour movie. For once I’d like to see a comic book movie actually follow canon. And the whole “you can’t fit it all” argument is bullshit. As if studios don’t plan on turning it into a franchise anyway. I’m really happy that George R. R. Martin decided to turn A Song of Ice and Fire into an HBO series instead of a movie, and I think that could be applied very well to comic franchises, too.
But anyway, that’s quite a tangent. Getting back on the subject of comics, I just saw Sidekick, which is basically the anti-thesis of Wanted. It was a good story, and the low-budgetness kinda added to the charm and “normalcy.” You should check it out.
