Got my first full paycheck today. There’s so many things I want to spend it on. I’m looking through my list of things to do. Places to go are out of the question for now… gotta stay and actually work. That IS what I’m here for.
Today was quite the day… I had an eleven-hour shift. Two people, including Melanie, my manager, were out sick, and it was just more to do for the rest of us. I could barely stay on top of my language group. Finally got a handle on things once my partner came in, so I switched gears to cover another group that had no one working on it.
But anyway… I’m thinking about getting a lot of things. But I’m limited by time to use it and my ability to pack it up when I move back. Some of the things I’m considering — some upgrades for my computer, including a vid card for games and more hard drive space for downloads; a weight set, which I would leave behind for my cousins to use after I go; and LASIK, but I don’t know if the doctors in the area are as good as ones in California.
