Give It Away
How do you pack up your life into two checked bags and a carry-on?
Pack-rat genes run in my family, so it’s particularly hard for me. I went around Davis yesterday looking for a big cardboard box to use, but I couldn’t find a good size one, so I went crazy and got a thirty gallon plastic tub from Walmart. The plan is that the desktop and Wii go in there, padded by clothes. Then I pack my biggest duffel bag with more clothes. And the laptop and a few books go into the backpack.
And that’s it of my old life. At least for a while. I might have some stuff shipped over later.

i’ve always figured that if i had to grab one thing out of my room in the case of a fire/other disaster, it’d be my computer or at least my hard drive. i think what’s important to my life is stored on that hard drive.

Goodbye Dinh! Sorry I can’t say it in person, a weekend short of going to Davis. Good luck with the move.
