High Hopes

Chuc mung nam moi! Chuc cac ban nam moi vui ve, thanh cong, va mang khoe!

Translation: “Happy Lunar New Year! I wish you all happiness, success, and good health in the new year!”

So every year at New Year’s, my family stays up to midnight and we light firecrackers and pray to Buddha and the ancestors to look over us in the coming year. Usually, besides the usual prayers of health for the family and all that good stuff, I usually pray for something like doing well on my next round of finals. This year, though, I prayed for guidance.

Right now, my life is just a continuation of my college years. I need to know that I’m still progressing.

    I’m up writing a paper that’s due at 11AM.

Am I doomed for procrastination for life? Were you at Eric’s earlier? I went home to do my paper!

    Happy New Year!
    & Cheers to High Hopes!
