Check out this Batman Christmas special!
Besides the excellent rhymes, I like the message of the video. Despite not being Christian, I really do enjoy Christmas because of the holiday spirit, and I wish gifts weren’t so central to everything. Spending time with friends and family is really what this is all about.
I know it can sound cheesy and fake when I say stuff like that, but this year, I’m reminded of the truth of it more than ever. This Thursday, my family (minus Dong Ha, who will be flying to Minnesota to vista Eva and the rest of the extended family) will be driving down to LA to visit some family down there. We’ll also be bringing a family friend and her two sons. Her husband is one of the four people being still being held by the Vietnamese government, and she’s having a really hard time (they’ve already had Thanksgiving and Christmas without him), so we’re bringing them down to visit some of their family down in SoCal.
Today, I had breakfast with my family and then we opened our presents for each other. Most of our relatives are out of town, so we only had a couple each. My sisters got me a Threadless t-shirt and a Virgil’s Party Keg. I got them Loot and Set, so we’ve been playing those.
Hope you’re all having a wonderful Christmas, and in case I don’t talk to you by then, a very happy New Year’s as well!
