So Aaron L’s gift to Monster House was Enemy Chocolatier, a board game from CheapAss Games.
The premise is that you’re an Oompa Loompa who’s tired of slaving away for Willie Wonka. You use your slave wages at the factory to try to strike out on your own. You can win by buying the love of the villagers away from Willie, or by collecting all the components you need to complete your secret recipe.
Aaron L and I played a couple of rounds just head-to-head, but two-player is a little too unbalanced. It’s a pure strategy game with no chance involved, so there is a definite first-player advantage. Then Jimmy I brought it over to David and Mia’s place, and we played a couple of rounds there. Definitely more balanced, but our strategies are still a bit limited.
You should play with me so I can develop my strategies!
