Evil Oompa Loompas

So Aaron L’s gift to Mon­ster House was Enemy Choco­latier, a board game from Chea­p­Ass Games.

The premise is that you’re an Oompa Loompa who’s tired of slav­ing away for Willie Wonka. You use your slave wages at the fac­tory to try to strike out on your own. You can win by buy­ing the love of the vil­lagers away from Willie, or by col­lect­ing all the com­po­nents you need to com­plete your secret recipe.

Aaron L and I played a cou­ple of rounds just head-​to-​head, but two-​player is a lit­tle too unbal­anced. It’s a pure strat­egy game with no chance involved, so there is a def­i­nite first-​player advan­tage. Then Jimmy I brought it over to David and Mia’s place, and we played a cou­ple of rounds there. Def­i­nitely more bal­anced, but our strate­gies are still a bit limited.
