Call To Arms

EDIT: Three have been released, but four are still being held illegally by the Vietnamese government.

I don’t usually ask my readers to do much, but please go to FreeThemNow and sign the petition.

I don’t think it’s made American mainstream news, but on November 17th, the Vietnamese government captured seven people who were organizing peaceful pro-democracy rallies in Viet Nam. Three were Vietnamese citizens, one was a Thai citizen, one was an Australian citizen, one was a French citizen, and two were American citizens. All of them are heroes to me. I’ve met several of them personally, and a couple of them are family friends.

One of the Vietnamese citizens has been released, but the other five are still being held without habeus corpus. One of the American citizens is actually hidden at the moment… the Vietnamese government will not even disclose where they are holding him prisoner.
