Over thirty years ago, a professor of architecture created a simple puzzle to teach his students to think in three dimensions. His name was Erno Rubik, and his invention became the best-selling toy in the world.
Now, a man named Julian Oliver has created another, slightly more high-tech, cube puzzle called levelHead -
The game works by holding the cube in a webcam, and the game software recognizes the cube faces and draws in the “room” and the “man.” You move the man around by tilting the cube, and flip it to get new angles you can manipulate him from. Right now, the designer has made five different cubes of varying difficulty, but because it was designed for Ubuntu, and will be released as open-source software, you could potentially make your own cubes to play with!
Do you think this will someday be THE GAME played in Aphio?
