Small World

Not much of a day today. Just wanted to point out that I saw Secret of NIMH on OnDemand today. I used to be really scared of that movie when I was a kid, and now I have no idea why. I also didn’t remember that NIMH stood for National Institute of Mental Health, which is a real organization.

Anyway, the thing that caught my eye was the credits… the voice actor for Auntie Shrew is Hermione Baddeley. I never knew Hermione was a real name. I mean, yeah, some Harry Potter fansite that my sister visited listed the historical context of it and such, but I had no idea people actually named their kid that. But it turns out people did. At least one parent did… back in November of 1906 in England.
