Vietnamese Idol

Thanks to Tony Quach for sending me this clip:

I wonder if my family has seen it yet. It’s from a pretty popular series of Viet… concerts on video, I guess you’d call it. Anyway, the guy singing is making fun of the traditional Viet singing style, cai luong, which I call Viet country. He’s singing in the traditional style, but with English lyrics. And if you listen to the lyrics, you can see why I call it country.
