So I was watching this new Showtime show called The Tudors about the early life of King Henry VIII. It’s pretty interesting with lots of plots and intrigue and court drama. And of course, since it’s premium cable, there’s plenty of gratuitous sex scenes.
Anyway, for the longest time I forgot the name of a book I read in English class senior year of high school that I really liked. It was about an Englishman who chose to die rather than betray his integrity — very similar to The Crucible, if you’re familiar with that work. Anyway, like I said, for the longest time, I forgot the name of the book and the Englishman, so it was rather hard to track down. Well, the man was a close friend of Henry VIII, so he’s in the show, and his name is Thomas More. The book is called A Man For All Seasons. You should check it out!
