So remember when I told you about that guy that randomly approached me for using Linux?

Well, I’ve been fooling around with my install lately… customizing it in various ways… anyway, one of the things I did was to install Beryl, like he had suggested. I dunno about “changing my life,” like he had said, but it’s definitely very cool. It prettified Linux with all the neat effects of OSX/Vista. In fact, Beryl is based on XGL/Compiz, and I remember when that first came out a couple of months ago, people were saying it looks better than either OSX’s Aqua or Vista’s Aero. But don’t take my word for it. Judge for yourself:

And Linux is free (in both senses of the word)! And there’s a free and legal equivalent of any program you could be using right now on Windows or MacOS.
