So the oddest thing happened today. I was sitting in CoHo chatting on my laptop and with the people sitting around me, trying to hype up Scavenger Hunt tonight. Out of nowhere, a guy taps me on the shoulder and says that he and his friend were sitting behind me and noticed that I was running Linux. He wanted to come over and say hi. I was like, “Uh… OK.” And shoke his hand.
After he left, everyone was like, “Does that happen to you often?” (No, that was a first.) “So what’s better about Linux, anyway?” was another popular question. I could take all day answering that. But to keep it short and simple, I’ll just tell you to try it out for yourself. I have a LiveCD where you can just pop it in and run Linux. If you like it, you can install it, if not, just pop the CD out and reboot.
Oh, and the random guy… he’s in my SOC 1 class. I wonder if he recognized me.
One more thing… the title of this post refers to LUGOD, the Linux Users Group Of Davis.
OK, I guess that’s it for now.
