My First “Note”

On my eleventieth blog. We’ll see how long this one lasts.

Not much going on today. Back home home in the Grove, watching the sisters as my parents are out vacationing. (It’s their 25th anniversary, and they’re going through Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and maybe a couple of other countries.) Even though I’ve only been doing it for a day, and my sisters are pretty much self-sufficient at this point, I have a renewed appreciation for how much our parents do for Dong Ha, Gio Linh, and me.

Had my eye exam today. My right eye is one “step” worse than before. I’m not quite sure what that means. Well, it’s not too bad… my optometrist said I’m still good for LASIK. Getting new frames wasn’t required, but she suggested it. I’ve had the ones I’ve got for about two years now. Ended up picking out a nice pair of Oakleys (prescription frame, not sport sunglasses), but they were too small for my head. Settled for a similar frame by Nike/Marchon. I like them because Marchon makes those nifty Flexon frames, and you all know how I abuse my glasses in various ways such as falling asleep on them. Insurance didn’t cover nearly enough, so I left without getting new glasses. Oh well… I consider it saving up for the LASIK.

So yeah… Responsibility sucks. Bills suck. Comcast Customer Service sucks. Oh, but Justice rocks. It is the best new show I’ve seen this fall. I like to bet with my sister how the murder really went down, because they show you at the end of each episode.

Guess that’s it for now. Hope you all keep reading. (It’s easy, with the auto-stalk telling to you!) I’ll be in the Grove until Friday or Saturday… gotta go back to Davis to move again. (But that’s a story for another “note.”) Give me a ring if you want to play!
