It’s about time I put up a post.
Yesterday… there’s a theme to my activities. Let’s see if you can pick up on it!
First, I woke up and bummed online for a bit. Felt damn good to be able to do that again. I got myself caught up on Naruto and Bleach, and watched the first episode of the new season of Lost while I was waiting for them to download. Skimmed through the Naruto episodes. The side stories are really annoying.
People woke up after that, so I joined them in the living room. Watched Harry Potter 3 with Drew, Peggy, and Sophia over lunch. They all had phở from Hoa Viet, and I had curry udon with hot dogs. Oh, quote comes from when they were psyching themselves up to go get food.
“I’m hungry!”
- Sophia.
“Me, too. Let’s go get food.”
- Peggy.
“OK. You have to wear those shorts when we go, because that’s all I have to wear.”
- Sophia.
Anyway, they went and got food and came back. After eating, everyone else started to knit. I felt kinda left out. But I’ll never give in!
We watched My Sassy Girl after that. Believe it or not, I haven’t seen it before. I know, I must be the last Asian person on Earth to see it. Drew kept making vomit motions while Sophia excited urged me to pop the DVD in faster. The movie was pretty good. Not the best movie ever, but I didn’t really get the impression it was, so I wasn’t let down like Drew was.
Started watching Azumanga Daioh after that. Classic! But the humor was lost on the Philistines.
Anyway, we all got hungry, so Drew, Peggy, and I wandered over to Safeway. Came back with supplies and made curry rice and a house special soba. Good stuff. Oh, and because the cook time was a bit long for Drew’s tastes, he provided spinach dip and a baguette to munch on in the meantime. What a combo, huh? Watched Simpsons while we ate.
After that, Sophia went home, and Peggy and I watched March of the Penguins in my room. I actually passed out for part of it and woke up as it ended. Clayton swung by to pick up his tent for camping down in Merced. Then we went to Peggy’s room to watch TV, since her TV is bigger than my monitor, and Vince was using the TVs in the living room. But I passed out again. This time on purpose, though, because she convinced me to go to a service project with her in the morning.
You’re not the last Asian person to see My Sassy Girl… I actually haven’t seen it yet either. Hehehe… I guess I just never got around to it. :drop:
