While I may not be the nerdiest of nerds, I’m pretty up there. So as I’m packing, I’m probably doing it in a different way than most people.
How do nerds pack, you ask? Well, it’s simple, really. I always try to make it so the last thing down at the old place and the first thing up at the new place is the computer, so I have as little downtime as possible. Ideally, this would include internet downtime, but I’m guessing it won’t be up and waiting at the new place.
Yeah, I’ve been packing the junk on and around my desk, but keeping my computer in running condition. It’d be easier to break it down now. But then how would I live? I think I heard my roommate sucking back a sniffle as he pulled out his Ethernet cord just now. Personally, I’m going to have to compromise soon and pack up the speakers, though. My roommates want to be moved out, or at least mostly so , by tomorrow, so we can have all day on the 30th to clean before we hand back the apartment on the morning of the 31st.
I should get back to packing. Need to get some more boxes, too. Joe M just tipped me off that Sheena has a bunch she no longer needs, so maybe she can help me out. If so, that means no dumpster diving into the cardboard bin behind Safeway or whatever.
Anyway… if I’m offline soon, you now know why.
Hehehehe… Poor Dinh. That’s why I’m glad I have the laptop! I can send my desktop home, and not die. I’ve already sent my desktop home for a week now, and I’M still online…
