Sorry if the last post didn’t sound like me, but it was. I seriously slept the whole day away. Half of it here, half at home home.
Woke up at 3:30 in the morning when I just couldn’t sleep anymore. Bummed online by myself until 5, when I called Peggy to wake her up. Of course, instead of doing her paper, she went online and let me distract her for a while. She ended up coming over to my place to work on her paper. And then sat there pretending to work on her second paper until it was time for her to go home and catch her bus to campus.
Read more Cryptonomicon and actually made some good progress. Then Peggy came back from class and we talked some more. Before I knew it, the day was gone, and she had to go eat and study.
Talked online with some people. Thu H was hot at her place, so I invited her over to mine, since we turned our AC on. Chatted for a while. She gets quote for saying the most messed up thing I’ve heard in a while.
“Yeah, the states can be tricky. They should all be nice and big like California.”
- Me.
“Yeah, California’s great. We got NorCal, SoCal, and some stuff in the middle. I think they should detonate that make it easier to go between NorCal and SoCal. Or make it into a big Indian Reservation. They’ll be happy, and the non-Indians won’t care.”
- Thu H.
That’s the kind of modern, progressive, liberal thinking I like to hear. Especially from someone who just recently took Native American Studies.
Talked some more, and Janice asked to watch OfficeSpace, which I guess Thu H hadn’t seen, either. Went downstairs to watch it, but my nearly twenty-four hours up caught up with me, so I went up to my bed and passed out. After talking with Peggy for a bit again.
hahaha i read it before my finals. NICE TRY! >=)
