This Time Tomorrow

Today was a good day marred by one bad event.

Woke up at 10. Got ready and then called up Sheena and Sara, because I forgot to tell them about the dress code. I should have sent out a blanket email to the chapter about it, because I keep forgetting people haven’t been on the project before and don’t know all the details of it like I do. Got some gas and picked up Sara, who was getting dropped off at her place as I got there, Eric, and finally Sheena, and we were off. We arrived at the project a little bit late, but the contact was very nice about it.

The giant twelve foot duck balloon and the duck costume came today, so we got to use those. Eric and I took turns wearing the costume. It was really fun, because kids absolutely loved us. Some adults, too. Between the costume and the souvenir ducks, we got huge sales. I think the highest of the four days we’ve been trying to sell, actually.

On the way back to the car after the project, I was lightly reprimanding Sara for bad conduct when somehow the conversation turned to elections.

I wanna run for RecSec.”

- Sara.

You should try for an upper ExComm position.”-

Me.

Are you running for anything?”

- Sara.

… I’m thinking about it.”

- Me.

You’re gonna be President, huh?!”

- Sara.

… I don’t like to talk about elections before they come.”

- Me.

Yeah, you’re gonna be President!”

- Sara.

I guess it’s settled, then. Sorry to everyone else who was going to run for President in the spring.

After I dropped everyone off and got home, waited for Peggy to come home from her project. Took a shower and watched some TV. The couch gag on Simpsons was them driving up as cars and transforming into their characters! :) Too bad the actual episodes aren’t funny anymore. Well, they are kinda still funny. But I really miss season four.

Peggy finally came over, and we watched Bowling for Columbine, because she needed to watch it and write a paper on it for her class. I felt a bit heartless because I didn’t have the reaction she had to it. Even my first time watching. (This was my second.)

Then she went home to write, and I’m here bumming around online again…

I wish I could bum around… But soon enough, I shall be unemployed, and I can bum around with you too…
