Peggy just called me lazy for not having yesterday’s post up yet. So demanding!
Let’s see… what did I do yesterday? Woke up, went online. Posted, and read other people’s posts. Didn’t feel like idling online, so I read more Cryptonomicon. That killed my morning.
Peggy called when she got out of class, and we headed over to Drew’s again. Heated up the leftover spaghetti and were about to watch Rosemary’s Baby, the last of the five movies we got at 49er, when Sophia C called. Invited her over for spaghetti, conveniently leaving out the fact that we were about to watch a horror movie.
So Sophia C came over, and we plopped down a plate in front of her. Expected her to dine and dash, since we were about to watch a scary movie. Plus she had class soon. But she ate pretty calmly, and then after that, settled down on the couch. Quote comes from that.
“You make your friends come over and knit your scarf?!”
- Nicole to Drew, when she saw Sophia C working on his giant yarn blanket.
“I don’t like to watch TV with idle hands…”
- Sophia C.
And a little after that, Sophia C noted that two of the REALLY old women in the movie were knitting. Well, actually, one was knitting, and the other was doing embroidery or some sort of needlework. I think Sophia C was saddened, though. It looked like she was going to stop knitting for a second. But it was only a second, and then she started it up again in full fury.
After the movie, Peggy went to a service project, and Sophia C, Drew, and I went out. At first, Sophia C wanted ice cream, but she changed her mind and we got boba instead. Stopped by Old Teahouse, which was packed with Japanese exchange students. Wandered over to Gamestop for a bit. We demoed Donkey Konga 2. I love that game so much. Nintendo’s so good at making fun accessories for their systems. It’s crazy!
Sophia C ditched us for a lab report. I dropped Drew at his place and went back to mine. A little bit of bumming online, and then it was back to the book once again.
Peggy called when she got out of her project and told me to go swimming with her over at Willows. Never one to say no to swimming, I went. We chilled for a while, and then all the Willows people left to do stuff, so we went home, too.
Took a shower, and then Kitty told me to come over to try her curry. It was good. Peggy came over to my place, and we started to watch Howl’s Moving Castle, but we both fell asleep halfway through it. I woke up again in time to catch the last maybe ten minutes; Peggy woke up for the very last scene and then went home.
I couldn’t fall back asleep after that, so I read Cryptonomicon until about 5 in the morning.
ps — started ender’s game, i like it so far, the introduction makes me sound like the 2nd coming tho.. silly OSC
