Home home at the moment, working on Sophia C’s project, and since this is the long part where I wait for the computer to do it’s thing, I’m on the other computer, writing up a post for you guys. And forcing myself to eat, because although I’m not hungry, I didn’t eat at all yesterday.
Tuesday… woke up at 6:30 in the morning and read Harry Potter until I finished it. Took me until about 8:45. Went online after that and made a big push forward on the posting front. I’ve been surprisingly un-downloady since I got back from Santa Cruz, but I expect that will change soon. Also haven’t been playing as much Literati, since Jackie’s back on phones and Drew has a job now.
I was supposed to pick up my sister from the airport at 3:15, but she called and told me her flight was delayed until 4:15. At least, I could have sworn that she said that. Got to the airport then and waited until 4:50 for her plane to land. Oh, and as I was waiting, my first hive attack began. (See, people’s first guess is the attacks are because of the heat, but I was in an air-conditioned terminal at the time.)
There was lots of traffic, even on 5, so it was basically 6 by the time we got home. Took a shower, which helped a bit, had a light dinner, and then passed out until the hives went away.
Woke up around 9ish and headed back to Davis. Peggy came over to study with me again. I read more Cryptonomicon and she went over her lecture notes and opened up her book but didn’t really read much. Which leads to quote.
“Hey, you’re reading too fast!”
- Peggy, every time I flipped a page.
“Sorry.”
- Me.
“Wanna read my criminology book for me instead?”
- Peggy.
I said, “Yes,” a couple of times, just to throw her off.
Eventually she got tired of me again and went home to take a nap. I kept reading and passed out around 4.
