All The Arms Around You

Time for another update as I wait for some feedback from Sophia C.

Let’s see… Monday… woke up and bummed online for a while. Peggy S woke up and got ready, and I went over to pick her (and Harry Potter) up and we went to Paintchip real fast for her to reschedule her interview, and then to IHOP for breakfast with Brandon T, Joe M, and Lin S. I told myself I wouldn’t eat, just sit and chill with everyone, but IHOP’s special right now is funnel cakes, so I had to try it. The funnel cakes were pretty good, although incredibly small. I supposedly got two, but they both fit on a single coffee saucer.

Brandon T ate his International Club in the oddest way possible — he asked for ranch, A-1, and a couple other sauces, mixed them all on a plate, and would dip his sandwich in it. Then he realized he didn’t get avocado in it like he asked for, so the server brought him some on a different plate. Not sure how to incorporate it into the sandwich, I jokingly told him to mash them up in his sauce dish. And he did.

After breakfast, dropped off Peggy S on campus, and then went home and started cracking on Harry Potter. I didn’t stop until Joe M called me around 7, when he got off work. He picked me up and the two of us headed over to the ARC to work out. (And as far as the ARC is concerned, my name is Brandon T for Summer Session I.) Saw a whole bunch of APhiO people, including Thu H, who joined us. Quote came up as we hit various machines.

Is that heavy?”

- Joe M to Thu H, when it was her turn.

No.”

- Thu H.

OK, I’m going to add ten pounds, then.”

- Joe M.

Is that heavy?”

- Joe M to Thu H, at the next machine.

Yes!”

- Thu H.

Yeah, she learned fast that if it’s not heavy, it soon will be. :) Anyways, we worked out until the ARC closed, hitting up basically every machine there was. By the end, I couldn’t lift my elbows above my shoulders to save the life of me.

Joe M dropped us off at home. I took a shower and then went online. Peggy S came over to watch Stef Lau on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Except that segment was about the Harry Potter release parties, and they had a guy run around doing silly stuff and reading from the middle of the book. Peggy S would cover her ears and sing loudly to herself, so even I couldn’t hear what Stef was saying.

After that, Peggy S would “study” and I kept readying Harry Potter. Which really means I would try to keep her from distracting herself as best I could. I think she got tired of it after a while and went home. I just read until I passed out.
