Man, it’s like every time I’m about to catch up on post, I get subconsciously stopped somehow. Must… overcome… mental block…
So here’s Wednesday… what did I do in the morning? Literati, Yahoo Pool, and Warrior Élite. The usual other online stuff, too, including a post.
Chatted in the afternoon. Read GTO again. Still good, and not nearly as racy after reading the stuff Merry told me to. Downloaded some more animé and manga.
Almost killed myself making dinner.
Watched Naruto as I ate and was thoroughly disappointed. Saved Bleach for when Joe is free. Took a short nap. Clayton and Willie IMed me to go to Sudwerks, but I was too broke, and didn’t particularly feel like drinking. It’s weird. Most of the time now, I won’t feel like it at all. And then the dam will burst and it’ll just hit me like a tsunami that I have to ride out for a night.
Then watched Unleashed and Sin City. Both were very enjoyable. Unleashed is by far Jet Li’s best work out of China. The fights weren’t too inventive, but still very nicely choreographed. I like how Yuen Wo Ping is second in the credits. He gets his own screen’s worth, too. Luc Besson… you’ve redeemed yourself for the American re-make of Taxi.
Sin City is exactly what I imagined a Tarantino film noir to feel like. And I didn’t realize there would be so many actors I liked in it. Oh, and Jessica Alba is least stripper-ish stripper I’ve ever seen. Never read Frank Miller’s original comic, but I should.
Chatted with Peggy for a while after that. She’s quote again.
“I was such a cute baby! My dad said when I was born, I was all red and wrinkly, like a rat. But I was a cute baby! … A cute rat-looking baby.”
- Peggy, showing me old pictures of herself.
Passed out around 4.
And yeah, I know this post is short. It’s been a relatively uneventful couple of days. Plus I wrote about my NDE in a separate post already.
