I just got back from the elections meeting. Congrats to all the people that won. (Yay for ExComm House next year!) Sorry to everyone that didn’t. (I love you, Mommy Van!) It was a hard fought night.
So for those of you who didn’t know, Will F and I “won” Service. I say it in quotes because we were unopposed and voted in by acclamation. Someone jokingly said that it wasn’t as much of a victory because we didn’t beat anyone. I responded that in fact we won so bad the competition didn’t bother trying. Personally, I agree with the first sentiments more. This was… bittersweet.
Especially since this seems to establish a trend of me only winning when going unopposed. I have yet to deliver a speech and win off of it. What does that say?
But eh… beggars can’t be choosers. I hope Will F and I live up to the chapter’s expectations. One former SVP has already congratulated me with, “Welcome to Hell.”

but yeah.. everyone who went up was great.
