Break Up Day

Man, my sleeping is all messed up. Stupid cough. And Gmail is lagging right now, of all things. :???:

Woke up and went online. Did some mailing list housecleaning and chatted online. Kitty asked if I wanted a ride to campus, so I fired off an e-mail to Will real fast about election stuff, and wandered over to her place. Eddie L was over there to cook breakfast for Genie, but she wasn’t up yet, so I chilled with him for a bit as Kitty got ready. She didn’t have a permit, so we were going to take the bus, but Eddie L offered to drive us to campus. Quote comes from when he was driving us -

So, is today your last day?”

- Kitty to Eddie L.

No, I’m doing one last thing tomorrow.”

- Eddie L.

You’re going to break up with her, huh? You’re doing it at our place, right? I gotta see that shit!”

- Kitty.

We went on to suggest that he stages it so that he would come over with flowers, walk in on Genie and Stevie, and go “Who the hell is this?!” But he didn’t like the idea… something about not being able to keep a straight face. :)

Chilled in CoHo for a while, mostly playing BS Poker. :) Man, I just realized I must have played that for at least three and a half hours straight. Then Joey took Drew, Kitty, and me to McDonald’s. Got dollar menu items just minutes before the 2-for-1 Big macs deal went into effect. I didn’t know it was every day after 5! :(

Back to campus for the meeting… we were a little early, so more BS Poker in Wellman 2. The meeting itself was really fast. Nominations were pretty fast, too. Not as much competition as I would have thought. Especially nothing from the pledges. Hopefully more come up in the course of the weeks before election night.

Oh, and if you didn’t already know… Will F and I are running for SVP. Officially, our competition was Angela and Mommy Van, and Cedric and Izzy. Pretty powerful pairs. But I heard Cedric didn’t want to run for anything, and Angela didn’t want to run against us. But Mommy Van and Izzy are both still interested. As well as a couple of other people. The prospect of competition really scares and excites me.

Scared because of the possibility of losing. Especially the possibility of losing to one of my mommies again. I really didn’t want to run against Mommy Van, and I think she knew that when she encouraged me to run while she was debating whether to run for President or SVP. Every time we talked about it, she talked as if she had already decided on running for President only.

But yes, I’m also extremely excited that there is competition. I hella look up to my mommies, and I know they would do great (better than I could) in any position they ran for. But Will is a great partner, and I think we are also a very powerful pair, and we have great ideas for next term’s service program. And if we win, I want it to be because we proved to the chapter that we are the best people for the job, not because we were the only ones who were stupid enough to step up. :) So to everyone who is reading this and thinking of running for SVP… bring it!

Anyways… getting back to the moment… the highlight of the meeting was definitely the Dacy babies’ tribute to their moms. (It’s kinda weird how all the other classes are related to those moms in some way, but not Toy Class.) I wonder how many Toys will still be around in a year and a half, because Dacies are still going strong.

Anyways, after the meeting, went briefly to MNR at In and Out, and then went home. I passed out pretty much immediately.
