High School

Written today for 40+ readers in Northern California, including at least 2 in San Mateo, this is latest from the Dinhternet! (How’s that for a threat, Thu? :) )

Yesterday… woke up at 9 again. I’ve been going to sleep earlier and waking up later. Has the curse been broken? I dunno, but I’ve been feeling more alert every morning. It’s great. Maybe I should sleep in all day more often. It seems to have helped quite a bit.

As soon as I was up, jumped online again. First looked in the good ol’ inbox. Hoping and praying the tech support guy replied about the new mailing list program. But no, just more notices of chapter e-mails I have to approve. The chapter list got spammed for the first time on the new list program yesterday. I was able to delete it due to the moderation. But if things went the way I wanted, this would all be automated.

Watched some more episodes of Lost so I could download some more stuff. I’m so low on disk space right now. I really need to get that other hard drive back up. Azureus updated itself. But the new version doesn’t work right. It allocates space and connects to seeds and such fine. But it doesn’t actually download the torrents after that. Well, it does, but at a couple of bytes a second. And haltingly, at that. I hate it. Probably going to try BitLord or something today.

Collaborated with Peggy on a house search at the same time. After I caught up on Lost, read more Monster. Eddie C came home with a mystery burrito from work and tried to push it on me and everyone online. I was very curious to find out what was in it. It could have been anything… even a boat! Everyone was afraid, so I bit the bullet and ate the burrito. It turns out it was a steak border burrito. Or so Eddie C says. I trust him to know the menu better than I do.

Mommy Van came over with some DayQuil and NyQuil for Eddie C’s cough. Sophia came over a little later and watched Hustle with us until her service project. Took a nap for a bit before the kickball game. Woke up to find it raining, and the kickball game cancelled. Read more Monster. Drew invited me to watch movies at Clayton’s, but I was feeling lazy and wanted to be able to pass out at any moment. Alison invited me to late night DC, courtesy of her cousin, but it fell through, so I didn’t have to leave the house after all.

Read yet more Monster as I chatted with people, mostly Merry (if you can call it talking… it was mostly her making fun of me again) and Peggy.

“Good night, Mr. Encyclopedia.”

- Peggy.

“Mr. Encyclopedia?”

- Me.

“What? Mr. Dictionary.com?”

- Peggy.

“Hahaha. Actually, one of my nicknames in high school was Dictionary Dinh.”

- Me.

“Wow! OK, good night, Dictionary Dinh.”

- Peggy.

“Good night… what’s one of your high school nicknames?”

- Me.

“Psycho Peggy?”

- Peggy.

“Really?!”

- Me.

“Of course not. I was normal in high school.”

- Peggy.
