Moving on to Saturday… woke up at 11. Went with David, Eddie C, and Will N to Fuji’s. We got there at 12 and got seated a little after 1, so we had to eat like crazy to get our money’s worth before 2, when the buffet stopped. I’ve never eaten at Fuji’s that late before. The quality of the food and the service seriously drops after 1, I think. Good thing I’m not a picky eater or anything. Especially right now.
After Fuji’s, went home and made the Security shirts for D4K. I seriously lack cutting skills; curves still give me so much trouble. One day, I will master it. And that day will come shortly after the Earth is bulldozed for an intergalactic highway. Seriously finished as I was supposed to be there. Good thing I’m only like a block away from the Veteran’s Memorial Center. Wandered over to Genie’s to ask her for a ride there.
We got there a couple of minutes late, but most people were later. Damn APhiO time. Unloaded the cars and waited for the event before us to be over so we could rush in and decorate the place. The beach ball drop idea was so cool, and I wanted it to work, but we just didn’t have the time or equipment to set it up properly. Maybe next time… It did look really nice, though, and I heard the dance still went very well.
After set-up, Tommy gave me a ride to the line dinner at Applebee’s. My side of the line was there on time, whereas everyone else, including the head of the line, was late. For shame!
Just chilled while everyone else ate because I was still full from Fuji’s. Well, actually, I was full until Carol pushed some of her onion strips on me, and then I was like… maybe I’m not so full. But that was when everyone was boxing up, so it would have been kinda pointless for me to say anything. Anyways, it was cool hanging with the line, especially with BB, since she’s always so busy nowadays and doesn’t have many chances to come back in town.
I think Tommy may have scared his “squbed,” though. She tried to be all sneaky and pay for all of us on her credit card, so Tommy slid over to her seat and put some money in her purse. Then everyone handed him money to do likewise. Diana noticed and started coming back to confront us, but we just yelled at her to go be sneaky and pay. Then when she came back, she noticed the money in her purse, but when she tried to give it back to people, Tommy stopped her -
“Just keep the money in the purse and there won’t be a problem.”
- Tommy, with his serious po-po face.
And then he threatened Carol with two knives. Man, Jane L and her were picking on him the whole night, though. Actually, Debbie’s line was picking on my line the whole night.
After the dinner, most of the line had to go home and study or do homework or something. I went with BB over to Brandon’s place, where we watched a bit of Pulp Fiction before heading over to Eddy’s place for his “IC kickback.” Well, it technically still was IC because Kappa Sigma was there, but I was particularly interested in going because the Gamma Gamma girl crew, including their Esther, of Esther-jocking fame, was supposed to be there. But they weren’t, because IC Sports Day was cancelled due to rain.
The kickback was pretty cool. I only had a Guinness; it was one of those nights where I just didn’t feel like drinking, really. So much random stuff happened that night… the quoting of Russell Peters, the brawling/wrestling, the old school “snaps” from middle school, the “speak anything but English” session…
I was actually up until 6:30 in the morning. Craziness for me. I haven’t lasted past 4 in so long. Usually no matter what I’m doing, I’ll just fall down passed out at that time. 6:30 is close to my usual waking up time. It’s kinda scary.
HAHAHAHAHA. Was the quoting of Russell Peters due to Joe and TJ? That seems to be one of their favorite things to do together…
