Time for more updates. Mostly because I’ve watched everything I have downloaded. And my new downloads are going slow. Damn you, Merry! First for tempting me with more stuff, then cursing my internet connection with your slowness!
Let’s see… Wednesday… damn, my memory is getting horrible. I can’t remember what happened :looks at calendar: one, two, three, four… four days ago. As you can see, that’s not the only part of my brain not running on all cylinders, either. :sigh:
Damn damn damn. I wrote a good chunk of my post about Wednesday only to realize I already wrote about Wednesday. Seriously not all there today. Anyways, moving on to Thursday…
Woke up hella early… like 6:30ish, because I had gone to sleep so early. Posted the write-up I had done on Wednesday night about Wednesday because internet was back. Then I wrote some more stuff. A lot more. I blame Drew and Peggy for making you guys read so much.
Told Merry I had finished Deathnote, so she makes me read Gantz, another cool manga. This one starts with the main character “dying.” I put that in quotes because we’re not quite sure if he really died or not. But the next thing he knows, he’s been transported to an apartment in Tokyo, and there’s other “dead” people there, along with a strange black ball. The ball tells them that their lives have ended, and their new lives are its to control… or that’s the theory, anyway. Then it tells them to go kill aliens, gives them sci-fi weapons and power suits, and teleports them to the location of said aliens. Anyway, the mortality rate on the mission is very high, and the characters’ situations get more fucked up every time. It’s kinda like the manga-ka blended together Matrix, Sixth Sense, Battle Royale, Men in Black, and some other stuff I can’t think of right now together.
Actually finished the 194 chapters of Gantz in less time than it took me to get through Deathnote’s 58. After that, watched some downloaded stuff such as the new episode of Eyes. I really like Harlon Judd’s sense of humor. Also chatted with some people online, and when Esther heard I had nothing to do, she invited me to go to the Kappa Sigma meeting with her -
“So, you wanna go?”
- Esther.
“Sure, if you have room.”
- Me.
“Are you sure? It might just be the Koreans.”
- Esther.
I thought she was kidding. But no, it was me and the Koreans. Esther’s car was her, Mingee, David P, and me. Christiana’s car was her, Paul W, and Sophia J. (Stupid pledges with so many double names!
)
The Kappa Sigma meeting was interesting. It was their election night, but one of the five actives they’ll have next term wasn’t there, so they had to postpone it. They finished both pledge and active meetings in a little over an hour. After that, KS went to a potluck BBQ at Manny and Val’s place, but the Koreans took me to Sa Rang Bang, a Korean restaurant off Watt. The food was good. The conversation was great; those Korean pledges are so hilarious. At least, what I understood was funny.
Esther dropped me off at home after that, and I was feeling lazy, so just chatted online for a bit, then went to sleep. I heard Chris had a big kickback at his place, but I had a service project in the morning.
drew and peggy?? WHAT DID WE DO?? :’(
