Whimsical

It’s funny. There’s so many random things I’ve wanted to blog about all day. And now that I’m sitting here… drawing a blank. Let’s see… I’ll just start writing about my day, and see how many things come back to me. And if you’re really special, there might be a little extra something for you to read. By the way… I’m talking to three people on AIM at the same time, so this post might be a little… disjointed.

For now, let’s start at the beginning. I woke up obscenely early again. At first no one was up. Or at least online. But soon, I was talking to Jackie, like I do many other mornings. Drew came on a little later and called me names -

You are the biggest Xanga whore. Ever!”- Drew.

And then he and Peggy conspired for the rest of the day to prove him wrong. I’m not being paranoid this time. He admitted it!

Chatted with some other people for a while. Then Judy invited me to lunch. I wasn’t hungry, but I went to keep her company. We went to Old Teahouse, and she had chow mein, and I enjoyed a Stephen Chow movie called Hail the Judge; I had never heard of it before, but like all other Stephen Chow movies, it was hilarious. I talked to her about my sleeping problem. She says it’s probably because evil spirits are doing something horrible to my eternal soul. Or possibly that I keep thinking about something.

Came back and watched some random TV shows on my computer as I chatted some more. Life on a Stick is pretty good. The Office has its moments, but some of his gags were painfully awkward to watch. Oh, did you know Steve Carell is going to be Max Smart in a movie adaptation of Get Smart? I really hope they don’t mess it up. That was my favorite show on Nick at Nite when I was growing up! Jake in Progress is interesting. I thought it was going to be something like Jake 2.0, but I couldn’t be more wrong. Oh, and I didn’t know John Stamos was still alive.

Will invited me to dinner then. We had Del Taco. It was his treat. Very romantic. I mean… :o ops: Ahem… :firm handshake: “Thanks Will. I’m still heterosexual.” It’s weird. I live with the guy. In fact, I share a room with him. And yet we haven’t really talked in a while. It’s like I opened up the floodgates today. OK, not really; there’s still plenty of stuff swishing around my head that hasn’t come out yet. But I’m getting there.

Back to the computer once again. Notice a theme in my homelife? Read some comics online. The one Penny Arcade did for Splinter Cell is great. Got my Calvin and Hobbes fix, even. I had to settle for random ones online since I don’t have any real books on me. I think I’m gonna have to buy this when it comes out. I really liked today’s reprint -

(If you can’t read it, I apologize. At the bottom, Calvin says, “You know, Hobbes, some days even my lucky rocketship underpants don’t help.” To which Hobbes replies, “Well, you’ve done all you can do.”) I didn’t feel like that today, but definitely in the recent past. Oh, and for another good one, see Mommy Van’s Xanga. :)

Clint called me up when he got back in town. Yay! Quality time with the LB! I love hanging out with him. We were gonna get ice cream at Ben and Jerry’s, but they closed incredibly early. Went to the Baskin Robbins instead. Our random conversations are so amazingly funny. My LB is so similar to me in so many ways. And then there’s one thing that really sets us apart. I want to learn from him in that respect.

Got owned repeatedly by Drew and Peggy. (Refer to the AIM conversation between them in that post.) Drat. Now I must hack the Xanga database and make it so I can comment before people post, to ensure my rightful place as first commenter. Do you know how much of a pain that is? Why can’t you just let me be? Watched some more TV and chatted with some more folks. Yay for my mommies staying together! We’re not dysfunctional like Hancocks and Westesses. :) Double yay for finally getting to talk to Kristen Jue, my IC Pen Pal, on AIM! (We were playing comment tag for a while on our Xangas.) Aw.. .it’s a shame I can’t go to Rho Rho Sectionals and meet you in person. :(

That pretty much puts me up to the second. Hope you guys had fun reading about my day, because I had a good time living it. :) … Except for the Xanga hate.
