Still gotta do Mon­day and yes­ter­day. Can I do it? We’ll see…

Mon­day… woke up at 5:30 because Alice C called me. I had set my alarm, but wasn’t woken up by it. This isn’t the first time this hap­pened. It’s kinda scary, since I’m usu­ally really good about not cheat­ing the alarm. Randy came by and picked me up, then Merry from Foun­tain Cir­cle. We were the first ones to the flag­pole. Drew, Kim, and Peggy got there in a lit­tle bit, fol­lowed by Hanh. We split up, and Kim, Merry, and I had the east side of cam­pus. Merry and I had the lit­tle fly­ers and did all the seats in Soc­Sci 1100, Young 198, Olson 6 and 206, Ever­son, and Chem 194. Back­tracked to find Kim, who was doing big fly­ers on the same course, but couldn’t find her. She did run into the other group, and we met back up with them at the flagpole.

Hung out in CoHo for a bit until my bus came. Between Erin, Randy, and me, we basi­cally solved the cross­word before 9. It was kinda sad. That means for the rest of CoHo, I would have had noth­ing to enter­tain me in lulls between crowds. Oh well. Went home and took a lit­tle nap. Except I was plan­ning to wake up around 11 or 12, but ended up sleep­ing in until 2:45. Good lord my body’s sleep pat­terns are messed up. Woke up and just chat­ted online until it was time for KVIE.

(Oh yeah… I for­got to men­tion how Mommy Tang tricked me into that. So at the pledge meet­ing on Sun­day, she asked if I was doing any­thing on Mon­day night. I thought she was going to invite me to do some­thing with her, but no, she just wanted me to replace her for KVIE so she could go to her own Ser­viceComm. I told her I had to go home and check if I was doing any­thing. So later that night, I told her I would, and she was like, great! By the way, you get to drive your­self, because it’s too late for the chair to fit you in any­where. Best SVP ever. But it gets even bet­ter. In the morn­ing, I found out Genie had got­ten Kat­rina to replace Mommy Tang for the same thing. SVPs please talk when you’re both doing the same thing! Just like how peo­ple going to the two Ser­viceComms have been hear­ing dif­fer­ent things about Dance4Kids. Kat­rina needed the hours, though, so I offered to drive her there.)

So yeah… time for the project rolled around and I swung by to get Kat­rina and we were off. We were the first ones there, but cer­tainly not the last. KVIE was actu­ally over­booked, so I just sat in the lobby the whole time and waited to drive peo­ple home. Yeah, I could have switched with peo­ple to get some hours, but I fig­ure I can get them, peo­ple there prob­a­bly needed it more than me. At least I had good com­pany in the lobby. Monday’s quote comes from my asib -

It was so ran­dom; she was such a high school guid­ance coun­selor. And actu­ally had good argu­ments and advice. So not like a high school guid­ance counselor.

Oh, went with Alice and Car­o­line to the Wal­mart in Natomas so she could get sta­ples and a sta­ple gun for fly­er­ing. We are kick­ing butt in the con­test, I hear. Made them run out of toner, even. On the way home, I wanted to show Kat­rina the loca­tion I was talk­ing about for the extra Loose fam­ily event, but some pledges got shifted into my car, so no more of that.

After we got back to Davis, tried to call up Peggy. She was asleep already, but her room­mates (it was Po, but I think I heard Linda in the back­ground) picked up. We had a nice ran­dom con­ver­sa­tion before I passed out, too.

Now for yes­ter­day… Couldn’t sleep right, so I woke up at 6 and then like every half hour after that. Gave up around 8:30 and just stayed up. Some stuff online, then printed out the pledge inter­view forms and the BB form and brought them to CoHo, along with a list of ques­tions I had ready. Hey, say what you want about it, it helps me remem­ber my good mate­r­ial. When I turned in my forms, Bao said my BB form would make my LB cry. I don’t see what the prob­lem is. PPs/​BB Chairs barely look at the BB form. They should know all of the actives already. I mean, they MIGHT glance at it maybe to con­firm a shaky match or some­thing. What­ever… all five of you know me. I’m expect­ing magic. Just like last term.

After that, caught a ride home with Will, because I was starv­ing. We ate and watched some animé. Talked online. Mommy Tang invited me to watch Hitch with her at 7:10, even though the offi­cial fel­low­ship group was watch­ing it at 10:10. Tried to see what Peggy wanted to do, but then she stopped respond­ing, so I went just in case she did, but she didn’t. Erg! So we ended up see­ing dif­fer­ent showings.

It was a good movie, though. The jokes were good… I like Will Smith and Kevin James. I also like that the required dra­matic mis­un­der­stand­ing was at least kinda shoe­horned into place like Cinderella’s stepsister’s foot into her glass slip­per. Sure, it didn’t feel like it fit, it’s a stu­pid mis­un­der­stand­ing. But they tried to pol­ish it. Which can’t be said about all chick flicks.

After the movie, our group went to get ice cream as the other group was leav­ing ice cream to go to the the­ater. Stood around and joked and rem­i­nisced for a while. Quote goes to Donald -

“What do I do? It’s not work­ing…”- Don­ald, going 90% to Mommy Van.

If you guys have seen Hitch, you prob­a­bly know what that’s in ref­er­ence to. But Don­ald was doing it with his ice cream. Mommy Van wouldn’t go for it, though, so he just gave up. That’s not what Hitch says! You gotta keep it there until they go for it!

Then went home. Chat­ted and watched the last two episodes of Tilt. It was a lit­tle anti-​climatic. But I guess they are try­ing to set it up for the next sea­son already. Found out Mini Dinh’s Eggy’s name changed again. Appar­ently his name is Tor­tuga now. Passed out after that.
