Whistle While You Work

It doesn’t feel like I did a lot today. And yet… where did my day go?

Woke up and got ready for my day. Went with Drew M to Arden to take care of some stuff for Eta Psi. We ran into Ian R and Becca Y at Hot Topic, but they hissed at us and ran off. Went back to Davis, stopped at Jack in the Box to get some food, then to my place to work on the Setion­als Bid slideshow. It’s going to be a fun pre­sen­ta­tion. I dunno if I’m going to be able to keep a straight face dur­ing it, actu­ally. Hope­fully the other chap­ters will rec­og­nize that we are the right choice, and our hard work and care­ful prepa­ra­tion is reflected in our abil­ity to joke like this.

After that was Roll Call prac­tice. We were miss­ing a good num­ber of peo­ple, but we were look­ing a lot more pol­ished than we were before. The guys got a new intro to our solo. It’s amus­ing. As is our new end­ing. I can’t wait to per­form tomor­row. I mean, I can barely walk and chew bub­blegum at the same time, so being a part of Roll Call has been awesome.

Today’s quote was inspired by Joe L’s VERY ran­dom mix CD. There was a Rock­apella ver­sion of the Foldger’s jin­gle, and Drew M and I sud­denly thought up a new addi­tion to the Roll Call -

“We need to model a cup of cof­fee in front of the audi­ence and sing, ‘The best part of wak­ing up is IPhi in your eye!’ “- Drew.
”… and then toss the cup into someone’s face!”- Me.

We aren’t messed up. Really. We love the other chapters.

After Roll Call, Drew M and I were sup­posed to go to San Jose with Steph Liu and stay at Peggy S’s for the night, along with Aaron L. Steph changed up on us though, opt­ing to spend the night in Berke­ley. Damn her and her social life! So… I went back to my place and worked on the slideshow until now. Still not quite done, but the hard stuff’s out of the way. I got songs for every slide, and all the info and pic­tures are there. I just need to add ani­ma­tions and such to make it look pretty. How­ever, peo­ple are start­ing to yell at me to sleep before I have to get up in about three hours to get ready to go. I guess I should lis­ten to them. I can always work on the slideshow dur­ing work­shops tomorrow.
