Hey everybody! Come back to the site again, huh? Well, I got a whopper of a story to tell you today… just kidding. My day wasn’t anything spectacular. But read on anyway… it’s good for you!
First I woke up, gave Peggy a wake up call for her 8 AM midterm, and took Ian to the Sacramento International Airport. I just love saying that, because it’s one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever heard. How on Earth is it international? I don’t even know if we have flights that go to Canada or Mexico, let alone transoceanic flights.
Came home and read comic books for a while, then had brunch with Peggy at Cindy’s Restaurant in South Davis. It was our first time there, and I thought it was OK, but she didn’t enjoy her food too much. I had the Monte Cristo, by the way. It’s a sandiwch with ham, chicken breast, Swiss cheese, and American cheese. And it’s deep-fried. The thing basically tastes like a sandwich made with French toast. And for those of you wondering what not to get, Peggy had some sort of fish sandwich.
Dropped Peggy off at home after that and wished her luck on her second midterm of the day. Went back to the apartment and read some more comics before dozing off for a while. Becca and Thu came over and we watched VH1 for a while, then watched Bleach on my computer. I was in and out of sleep the whole time, but re-watching the series did remind me of this line that I really liked -
“If I were the rain that binds together heaven and earth, whom in all eternity will never mingle, would I be able to bind two hearts together?”
Yeha, yeah, so I’m feeling sappy at the moment. Anyways… Joe M messaged me about going to the mall, and I agreed, since I needed to get something. Kinda left Becca and Thu at the apartment when I went with him and Jenny. Sorry about that, you two!
ops: My only excuse is that I was still groggy. Went to Joe M’s first, where he showered, and we met up with TJ. The four of us set off, stopping at Old Sac first so Joe M could get a bunch of hats for who knows what. Then we stopped by Arden real fast before it closed. The guys went to Hot Topic, and Jenny went to Wet Seal. Oh, for those of you wondering what it was I had to get… this is it. Yeah… I have a bit of a Jolly Roger fetish, and since the shirt is no longer listed on the Hot Topic website, I was worried they were discontinuing it. Grabbed the very last one in store that would fit me, too. It was tagless and buried in between a couple of extra smalls. Now I need to get this and this, and I think I’ll be happy with the whole ninja-pirate thing. The first of those two only has XL and S left, though.
On the way back, we were talking about where to go eat, and that sparked today’s quote -
“Guad. We need to condition you, LB.”- TJ.
“Huh, what you mean, you have to condition her?”- Me.
“Jenny doesn’t like burritos, or the people who make them.”- TJ.
Which she denies. Well, she denies the people-hate. So yeah, we got burritos, and Jenny got a frozen pizza at Albertsons, and then we went back to the apartment to watch Jenny’s copy of Ong-Bak. Her version has English subs, but some of the more disturbing scenes were cut. After the movie, everyone took off. Some went home, some went to Michow’s birthday party. I didn’t want to go, since I heard they were at Café Bernardo’s right now, and I don’t want to go to a bar and not drink.
Today’s table of slip-ups:
| Today | Total | |
|---|---|---|
| Cursed | 2 | 48 |
| Drank | 0 | 0 |
| Drinks Owed | Michow | |
I was doing really good, too, but then I slipped up twice while commenting on the movie. On the drinking front… the desire is slowly gnawing at me. Definitely been tempted, but haven’t given in yet! Oh, and Michow… happy birthday, and I’m definitely going to take a wiki with you after Lent!
