Everything You Know Is Wrong

So I’m a dum­b­ass who for­got to write about why the last post was called “Headstrong.”

Yes­ter­day at CoHo, Joe M brought up that Lent is com­ing up. I’m not Catholic or any­thing, but I decided to chal­lenge him. The two of us (and a lit­tle later, Kim) decided that we would give up drink­ing and curs­ing for Lent.

… then we found out about all the birth­days dur­ing Lent. Dammit! I dunno about Joe M, but now that I’ve taken this on, I’m going to stick to it. At first, I was think­ing that we should have every­one with a birth­day dur­ing Lent come visit us tonight, so we could take a shot with them. I know it’s Tues­day, so it would break Joe M’s rule. But it’s not just any Tues­day… it’s Mardi Gras! But then I remem­bered that I had to go home home tonight and spend Lunar New Year’s with the fam­ily. So if you have a birth­day dur­ing Lent… just be sure to let me know. I’ll be tak­ing a shot with you as soon as these forty days and forty nights pass.

Wish me luck, guys! (I bet I for­get and cuss before dawn tomor­row. But the drink­ing, though… I’m stay­ing strong on that one!)
