Tomorrow is Yesterday

Damn, I completely missed a day of posting.

Oh well… yesterday… went to work. Came home and got invited to join Jimmy P and Dorothea’s APhiOmazing Race team. But we needed a fourth, so IMed everyone on AIM looking for some help. Got my LB to do it! We went to Avalon and got the festivities started. The first event of the race was that we got dropped off at Davis Commons and had to sell some random items and find a way back to Avalon. Well, literally, the instructions were to run back, so our team took off running as soon as we got there and sold the junk to some stranger at the Quik-E-Mart. We didn’t know that the proceeds went to the Tsunami Relief Fund, either, or else we could have used that in our pitch. Anyway, got back to the lounge to find that we were the third (out of four) teams back. Had to go find a plastic Easter egg in the bushes and decipher the pager code message inside. The message told us to go talk to “tall guy” Will Warriner and find out why he was special. Then we had to build a free-standing tower taller than him to get on to the next event. Chuck’s team started first, but Takemori’s team started second and finished before we started, while we ended up beating Chuck’s team. Then it was on to the next event, downing two gallons of milk and twenty-four hot dogs. Without yakking. Oh, around this point, Chris tried to steal our mascot, but I stopped him. Then Jimmy P stole Chuck’s. Score! I took about 45 of a gallon and four or five hot dogs for the team. Takemori’s team finished and moved on to the final event at this point, and Chuck’s team and Kappa Sig’s team joined us. We killed all the dogs and had about a half gallon left when Jimmy P couldn’t hold it anymore. It was OK, though, we took a time penalty and continued to the last round, where we had to collect puzzle pieces from the pool and assemble them. We finished a strong second. And the other two teams gave up. After that, there was supposed to be a TakemoriComm meeting, but my stomach was funny and I was tired, so I just passed out.

Yesterday’s quote:

Wouldn’t it be easier to just take a paper towel and wipe that off?”- Clayton, talking sense as my LB got the yak hosed off him.

And then there was today… yet more work. Then watched the new episode of Naruto when Eddie C came home with Sophia, so I watched an episode of Lost with her. It wasn’t one of the new ones, but oh well, I’m willing to watch old ones, and this way, she’ll understand everything in the new ones when we do watch them this weekend. Took off to TapEx after that in the hopes that people would take shit from my car. No luck with Andrew’s skis, but Peggy did take her sleds. I felt bad, since the stupid crew kinda tore them up at the lake on the last day of Winter Retreat. Got talked into going to Baldo’s… it was Peggy, Sophia, Eddie C, and me in one car, and Joe M, Ian, Jenny, Brandon, and Emily in the other. Wasn’t hungry at the time since I had some level 5 chicken at TapEx, so just got a box of carne asada fries to go. It feels like a waste to walk away from Baldo’s empty-handed. Then we went to the ARC and watched IPhi In Your Eye’s first IM Basketball game. We won, of course. There was a victory celebration at Kim’s, but I decided to go home. Esther brought Tina H over in a mad dash to get her sigs done before this weekend, since she was going home for the weekend, and wouldn’t be able to make it to Last Supper, either. It was fun… Eddie C, Jackson, and I hung around Esther’s car in the parking lot for a while. I had to run back inside to reset Assassins, and they finally left.

Oh yeah… yes, Assassins is still running. I had to reset the targets to true random selection because everyone in the game was going after one person. Not exactly the fairest.

Oh, and another announcement… we’re now most likely looking for a four-bedroom place to live next year, because it looks like Peggy and Vince will be joining Joe M, Ian, Eddie C, and me.

I guess that’s it for now…

Except for today’s quote of, course:

I already signed it five minutes ago…”- Eddie C, handing back Tina H’s sig sheet after Esther yelled at him for grilling her with random questions.
