Woke up at 7:30 for work and felt like shit, so I called in sick and passed out some more. I was using the pillow that Sophia C made for me last night… it’s so comfortable… so much softer than my old one. Woke up around lunch time and worked on the Dinhternet for a bit, then passed out some more until dinner time. Had my breakfast for the day… the last of my Costco burritos. Luckily, I still have my Costco chimichangas. And some food I brought from home. Took Genie L to campus for a service project, and came home to chat while I waited for scary movie night. As I was waiting, I realized I would be missing Lost to see scary movies. Oh well, I’ll just download the HDTV version and watch it later. Probably with Sophia C. She missed it to be a good BB and pick her LB up after class so she wouldn’t have to wait forty minutes in the rain and/or fog for her bus.
Went over to Peggy S’s, but she wasn’t home, and her ghost roommate didn’t open the door for me. Sat in the car and listened to some tunes until she got home. Drew M and Jason G wandered back from Hallie/Nancy P/Roe N/Shirley’s place… apparently they got to Peggy S’s before I did. Went inside and had Viet sandwiches as we waited for other people to show up. Decided to pop in Dead Alive because Peggy S didn’t have any horror movies, and no one was bringing any. Or at least, we tried to. The video wasn’t showing up, so we went back to my place and got the Divx player. Unfortunately, that didn’t work, either. Apparently, it was the TV’s video in that was messed up, not the DVD’s video out. We all scrambled over to Scott C’s place to get a working TV.
After we got everyone settled in and all the equipment set up, watched Saw and Juon, which Allan D brought. Saw was pretty cool. It wasn’t as gory as I expected, and the ending was pretty slick. Juon was good, too. This is like my fifth time watching it, and it still gives me the shivers. Although, I noticed this time that there are a good number of hot women in the movie, which I hadn’t really seen before. Maybe I was too focused on the death before. Or on trying to read the subtitles. Either way… yeah… good-looking folks. Oh, and I’m glad we didn’t watch Juon 2, which Allan also brought. The first scene makes it impossible for me to drive at night.
After the movie, dropped Drew M off at his place, and now I’m back here, about to pass out. I leave you now with tonight’s quote —
“Go to Safeway and on the way get hit by a car, fly 10 feet and fall on a pile of shit. A truck drives by and crushes the head. Blood splatters everywhere with chunks of brain. Eyeball rolling on the street, someone steps on it and trip. Hahaha. Yeah it’s all in my head.“
Peggy S’s away message.
That Peggy S… what a character. I bet she’d enjoy my Jhonen Vasquez material.
